The Network of Argentine Scientists, Academics, and Researchers in Norway and Iceland has
been formally institutionalized. The Scientific Coordinator of the Network, Dr. Jorge
Marchetti, and the Technical Coordinator, Consul Emilia Vicente Lago, signed the statute that
officially establishes its operation at the headquarters of the Argentine Embassy in Oslo.
The Network aims to strengthen communication among Argentine professionals residing in
Norway and Iceland and to promote links between universities, research centers, and
scientific institutions in both countries and Argentina. It is a space designed to enhance
academic and scientific cooperation and facilitate the exchange of knowledge in strategic
areas.
This initiative is part of the RAICES program, which brings together Argentine researchers
living abroad and promotes their engagement with national institutions. The platform
disseminates cooperation opportunities, position openings in Argentine institutions, and
activities related to international scientific collaboration.
The Networks of Argentine Scientists Abroad have the following mission: • Foster and
strengthen ties between the Argentine scientific community and professionals residing outside
the country. • Contribute to the development of science, technology, and productive
innovation in Argentina. • Serve as advisory bodies and generators of proposals for bilateral
scientific and technological cooperation.
The Network of Argentine Scientists in Norway and Iceland is composed of Argentine
researchers, academics, and professionals residing temporarily or permanently in both
countries, and constitutes a key bridge for scientific collaboration between our communities.
