The National Museum of Norway Presents the Work of Argentine Artist Adrián Villar Rojas

The National Museum of Norway (Nasjonalmuseet) has announced that it will present an exhibition by Argentine artist Adrián Villar Rojas, featuring works from the series The End of Imagination, from 19 November 2026 to 7 March 2027.

Villar Rojas—internationally acclaimed for his conceptual works and large-scale installations—will arrive in Oslo with a show that promises to be one of the most significant cultural events of the season. His work, exhibited in leading institutions around the world, is known for exploring the boundaries between art, science, fiction, and collective memory.

Villar Rojas’s installations have “landed” in diverse places across the globe—from Buenos Aires to Shanghai, Athens, Seoul, and Aspen—absorbing in each case the architecture, climate, and political conditions of their surroundings. His work is conceived as ecosystems in transformation, organisms that self-generate and mutate over time, integrating natural materials, discarded objects, digital simulations, and human collaboration. These installations do not travel: they propagate, degrade, or survive in fragments that give rise to new realities. (From the curatorial text of the National Museum of Norway)

The Argentine Embassy in Norway celebrates this exhibition, which highlights the presence of contemporary Argentine art in one of the country’s most important cultural institutions.
