In relation to the publication of the Newsletter, we share the words of Ambassador Guillermo CARMONA, Secretary for the Malvinas Islands, Antarctica and the South Atlantic:
“We are going through a time in which the “Malvinas ¬40 Years” Agenda is being developed with a strong presence across the country, the region and the world. Since the launch of the agenda on January 3, hundreds of official activities have been carried out to raise awareness on the Malvinas Question that seek to consolidate its repositioning as a State policy.
On April 2, we honor our veterans and those fallen in the South Atlantic conflict. Although the commemorative events took place in multiple venues, of special significance was the ceremony that President Alberto Fernández, accompanied by the National Cabinet, headed at the Malvinas and South Atlantic Islands Museum in the City of Buenos Aires to recognize those who lost their lives or put them at risk in the line of duty.
The commemorations are a major part of our agenda this year, but also from the Secretariat of Malvinas, Antarctica and South Atlantic we continue to deploy strong foreign policy action in our fields of competence, following the general guidelines set by Minister of Foreign Affairs Santiago Cafiero.
We hope that this renewed newsletter will enable the creation of a channel of direct and permanent contact for the dissemination of the action that we carry out from the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs in defense of national interests regarding the Malvinas Question, the management of the Antarctica and the consolidation of our national presence in the South Atlantic.”
