INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS DAY

December 10th marks the International Human Rights Day, in commemoration of the adoption, by the General Assembly of the United Nations, of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in Paris on December 10th, 1948. In addition, Argentina commemorates the day of the restoration of democracy after one of the most obscure stages of its history.

Since the recovery of democracy, Argentina has made the promotion and protection of Human Rights a fundamental part of its foreign policy, which is a reflection of a consolidated state policy. The promotion and protection of Human Rights is a cross-cutting issue, transversal to all public policies, and reflects the main concerns of Argentine society.
