Argentine Tango

Tango is much more than a dance: it is music, poetry, and history.
It is identity. It is emotion.
It is melancholy and desire, passion and nostalgia, union and loss, love and longing, pain and hope.

Born in the neighborhoods of the Río de la Plata in the late 19th century, tango grew from the suburbs of Buenos Aires and conquered the world with its embrace and unmistakable cadence.
Today, it is recognized as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, a cultural pride of Argentina and a universal symbol of artistic expression.
