The multinational company SAS (Scandinavian Airlines) and Aerolíneas Argentinas have
signed a codeshare agreement that will strengthen connectivity between Argentina and the
Nordic countries. Beginning in October 2026, passengers will have more—and better—travel
options between Scandinavia and Buenos Aires through integrated connections in Madrid and
Rome.
The agreement will allow travelers to fly with a single ticket, complete one check-in, and have
their luggage checked through directly to the final destination. It will also facilitate
combinations with domestic flights operated by both airlines. For example, it will be possible
to travel seamlessly from Ushuaia to Longyearbyen, in the Svalbard archipelago, within one
integrated itinerary.
This development represents an important step forward for mobility, tourism, and economic
ties between Argentina and Norway, while improving accessibility for the Argentine
community residing in the Nordic region.
