Where should I apply for Argentine visa?

How do I apply for a visa at the Argentine Embassy in Norway?

If you are a citizen of a country that requires a visa according to the list of Argentine visa requirements by countries and are travelling as a TOURIST, in some cases you may apply for an electronic travel authorization.

ELECTRONIC TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION (FOR TOURISTS):  In some cases you can choose to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) "Autorización Electrónica de viaje (AVE)" in Spanish, which allows you to enter Argentina without a visa as the ETA replaces the visa.

Only foreigners who meet the following requirements can apply for ETA:

  • Travel for tourism purposes
  • Passport issued by one of these states (AVE)
  • Possessing a valid B2/ J / B1 / O / P (P1-P2-P3) / E / H-1B visa issued by the United States. Length of validity of the United States visa must be at least 120 days

The ETA enables a period of stay of 90 days in Argentina and allows multiple entries and exits.

Cost: USD 50

Processing time: 20 days

Processing mode: online through the website of the Dirección Nacional de Migraciones (DNM). You will be required to pay the fee by card and attach a copy of the required US visa.

Access the DNM website here to apply for your ETA: http://www.migraciones.gov.ar/ave/index.htm

In case of enquiries or complaints, address to ave@migraciones.gov.ar. Note that Argentine Embassies and Consulates do not have competence regarding ETA.

The application for ETA does not prevent the subsequent application for a visa, in case the ETA has been rejected.
